About the Artist

A long time professional artist, the late Chuck Long resided in Huntsville, Alabama, where he enjoyed the reputation not only of being one of that city's best-known artists but also its most celebrated teacher of watercolor painting. Many of the area's best watercolorists learned their trade from Chuck Long.

About the Artist's Art

Chuck was famous locally for his superb watercolor landscapes and still lifes. He is best know nationally, however, for his aviation art, which is rendered in either oils or acrylics.

Most of his aviation paintings have depicted the wonderful old warbirds of Worrld War II. As an artist, Chuck Long has been able to fulfill his ambition of combining his love of art with a love for airplanes, resulting in a series of richly colored oil and acrylic paintings.

These paintings have been beautifuuly reproduced in full color on heavy pH neutral paper stock and are now available as limited edition collector prints. Each print has been signed and numbered by the artist, and some of them have also been signed by the famous pilots who flew the planes in the depicted scenes.
